I am a big fan of text-to-speech technology. It is a great accessibility tool – when my eyes are  too tired to read the cells on my computer screen, I just let Excel read aloud the values for me.y default, it is not easily accessible in the Excel menu, so a little tweak in the Quick Access toolbar is necessary.  First open the Quick Access Toolbar then choose More Commands:

Use text-to-speech commands in Excel

  1. Next to the Quick Access Toolbar, click Customize Quick Access Toolbar.Excel Quick Access Toolbar Speak command
  2. Click More Commands.
  3. In the Choose commands from list, select All Commands.
  4. Scroll down, and for each text-to-speech command that you want to use, click the Speak Cellscommand, and then click Add.
  5. Click OK.
  6. When you want to use a text-to-speech command, click it the Quick Access Toolbar.
